We’ll be reviewing the Blast Backpack, the Blast Packing Cubes, and the Getaway 20-inch Carry-On to see if they truly make travel smarter and more organized.

First Impressions & Why I Love BagSmart
Before we dive into each product, I want to thank BagSmart for sending me these travel essentials to review. I’ve used multiple BagSmart products in the past, and I love how well-designed and organized they are. The Getaway 20-Inch Carry-On Luggage
Design & Durability
This sleek 100% polycarbonate carry-on is both durable and stylish. The glossy finish adds a touch of sophistication, and it comes in three stunning colors:
- Sky Blue – A refreshing, cool-toned option
- Shadow Gray – A neutral and versatile shade
- French Pink – My personal favorite, offering a soft, chic look
Standout Features
- Aluminum Handle with 4 Height Settings – Adjust it to your preferred height for a comfortable grip.
- TSA-Approved Locking System – Provides security with an easy-to-set lock.
- 360° Spinner Wheels – Features spring technology for a smooth and quiet glide.
- Expandable Design – Unzipping the expansion adds more room for souvenirs.
- Complimentary Luggage Tag & Nylon Webbing – Helps easily identify your bag.
Interior & Organization
Inside, you’ll find:
- Two Pockets – One regular and one waterproof for added versatility.
- Water-Resistant, Stain-Proof Lining – Keeps things clean and fresh.
- Removable Compression Pad – Doubles as an extra packing cube for socks and underwear.
Dimensions & Weight:
- Unexpanded Capacity: 40L
- Expanded Dimensions: 21.7″ x 13.8″ x 9.8″
- Weight: 7.8 lbs (lighter than the website’s stated 8.2 lbs!)
Packing Hacks for Maximum Space
One of my favorite travel hacks is using the compression pad for socks and underwear. Once at the hotel, I remove the pad, clip it onto a hanger, and instantly have an organized way to store these essentials without using hotel drawers.
If you like keeping things neat, this carry-on offers multiple configurations to fit packing cubes, a shoe bag, toiletries, and more. You can adjust based on whether you want to keep your items compressed or make space for souvenirs. Check out my Béis Carry-On review here.

BagSmart Packing Cubes (Set of 6)
Packing cubes are a game-changer, and BagSmart’s 6-piece set takes them to the next level.
What’s Included?
- 1 Large Compression Cube
- 2 Medium Compression Cubes
- 2 Small Compression Cubes
- 1 Shoe Bag (or dirty laundry bag)
Why I Love These Packing Cubes
- Compression Zippers – Reduce bulk and create more space.
- Water-Resistant Nylon Material – Easy to wipe clean.
- Breathable Mesh Panels – Allows airflow and lets you see what’s inside.
- Convenient Handles – Makes it easy to grab and rearrange.
How I Use Them
I love using the larger cube for bulkier sweaters, the medium ones for tops and pants, and the small cubes for undergarments. The shoe bag keeps dirty shoes away from clean clothes, and all the cubes can fit in my 20-inch carry-on. For more on how to use them check out this Capsule Travel Wardrobe post here.
