When you travel often, having the best checked luggage options for your preferences on travel days can make packing and airport days much easier. I recently had the chance to test the LEVEL8 Adventure Collection’s 24″ checked luggage along with their Go Pack packing cubes on a real trip to Belize with multiple legs (cars, bus, airplane, puddle jumper, boat, etc) going and coming home. I wanted to share my honest thoughts after using it.
In this review, I’ll walk through the design, packing layout, size, and travel performance. I’ll also show how I packed the suitcase for my trip to Belize and how the packing cubes and interior pockets helped keep everything organized.
First Look: LEVEL8 Adventure 24″ Checked Suitcase Review
The first thing I noticed when opening the box was how clean and modern the suitcase design looks. The exterior has a sleek, minimal style that feels both polished and practical for travel. The shipment packaging was made of sustainable fabric instead of plastic.
The suitcase has a strong hard shell that helps protect what you pack inside. The finish also feels both flexible and durable, which is important when luggage is going through airports, luggage belts, and overhead handling.
The overall look feels elevated without being flashy, which is something I personally like when choosing luggage.

The suitcase also feels very balanced when rolling, which makes navigating streets, hills, and rugs in airports and hotels easier. I think the combination of the wide handle and wheels are clutch.
Inside the Suitcase: Top Loading Interior Layout
One feature that stands out is the top-loading/front-lid opening & interior design.
Instead of opening into two equal halves like many suitcases, this layout allows you to pack more easily from the top. This can make organizing clothes and travel items much simpler, especially when using packing cubes. I love that I can easily open it on top of the luggage rack.
Inside the suitcase you’ll find:
• Compression Straps to Hold Clothing and Items in Place With 2 Small Mesh Pockets
• Large Mesh Pocket on Front Opening Lid for Organization that fits quite a bit, actually.
• Medium Zipper Compartment for Organizing
This layout makes it easy to see what you packed and helps prevent items from shifting during travel.
Handles, Lock, and Expansion Features
Another thing I appreciated while using this suitcase was the comfort-wide trolley handle, multiple carry handles, and feet to protect the exterior from dirt and scratching.
The expansion option is especially helpful if you bring home souvenirs or need a little extra room for longer trips.

TSA-approved Safety lock Built in.
- Keeps luggage secured when it’s not with you
- Authorized TSA agents have a special tool to open without damaging if needed for inspection
Comfort-Wide Trolley Handle
- Aluminum ally handle is very sturdy for increased maneuverability with surprising ease
- Enough room to use 2 hands if needed over curbs, bumps or steps.
- Telescoping handle that adjusts to 4 comfortable heights
- Optimizes packing space for increased capacity and organization with the flat bottom
- Ergonomic design prevents cramps and strains
Size, Weight, and Pricing
The suitcase I tested is the 24″ checked luggage size, which sells for $379.99, and works well for trips longer than a few days.
Dimensions & Weight
24” Checked Overall: 26.4”H x 17”W x 12.6”D | 11.5 lbs | 74 L (Expanded 81 L), 12.2 lbs on my scale
This size gives you plenty of room for clothing, shoes, and travel essentials while still being manageable to roll through airports. I had mine jam-packed and it was 44 lbs. Easy way to keep your check-in luggage under 50 lbs.
What size suitcase is best for a week-long trip?
A 24″ checked suitcase is often a great size for week-long trips because it offers more packing space than a carry-on while still being manageable to travel with in size and weight.
It’s a great option for trips like:
• week-long vacations
• international travel
• beach trips
• longer city stays
If you prefer not to carry everything onto the plane, this size can be a very comfortable middle ground between smaller carry-ons and very large suitcases that can easily get very heavy.
Level8 Go Pack Packing Cubes
To help keep everything organized, I also tested the Level8 Go Pack packing cubes.
Packing cubes can make a huge difference when organizing a suitcase. Instead of stacking loose clothes, you can separate items into sections.
For example:
• dresses in one cube
• workout clothes in another
• swimwear or sleepwear in another or by outfit
This makes it much easier to unpack at your destination and quickly find what you need.
Wide Handle Design and Carry Options
Another feature I loved was the wide comfort handle design both for pushing it around and also, inside the suitcase. LEVEL8 really raised the bar with this one, pun intended!
Many suitcases have trolley handle bars that take up packing space inside. This design keeps the interior flatter, which gives you more room to organize clothing and packing cubes.
It’s a small yet huge detail, and it makes packing feel more efficient.
You can easily hold a tote bag or backpack with the handle without needing to secure it with a trolley strap.
Packing Demo: How I Packed for My Belize Trip
For my debut trip, I packed the suitcase for a trip to Belize.
Here’s how I organized everything using the packing cubes:
• lightweight dresses
• swimwear
• sandals
• travel beauty products
• evening outfits
• casual day clothing
The packing cubes made it easy to keep everything grouped together. When I arrived at my hotel, I could quickly move the cubes into the closet without unpacking each item.
This is one of the main reasons I love using packing cubes when traveling.
Compression, Final Fit, and Extra Details
Once everything was packed, the suitcase closed easily thanks to the compression straps and interior layout.
The suitcase still had room to spare, and the expandable zipper option would allow even more space if needed.
The wheels also rolled smoothly while moving through the roads, sidewalks, and airport, which is always something I notice when testing luggage.
Pros and Cons of the Level8 Adventure 24″ Checked Luggage (Travel Tested)
After testing this suitcase on a real trip, here are the things that stood out the most to me.
Pros
Comfort Wide Trolley Handle
I didn’t expect to love the handle so much. It really makes it so much more sturdy and easy to maneuver. Plus, the extra packing space without bars in the middle. I used this for my linen clothes under my packing cubes to keep them as unfolded/wrinkle-free as possible.
Clean, modern design
The suitcase has a sleek, minimal look that feels polished and elevated. It’s stylish without being flashy, which works well for both leisure and business travel.
Top-loading interior makes packing easier
The interior layout makes it simple to organize clothing and packing cubes. I liked being able to keep somethings inside and easily get in and out each day without moving it to the floor for the things I didn’t need everyday.
Smooth spinner wheels
The wheels rolled very smoothly through rough transit roads, and the rugs at airport and hotel areas making travel days easier.
Expandable packing space
The expansion zipper gives you extra space when you need it, which is helpful for longer trips or bringing items home.
Works very well with packing cubes
The interior layout pairs nicely with the Level8 Go Pack cubes. It made organizing outfits and categories much easier.
24″ size is great for longer trips
This size works well for trips of around a week or more when a carry-on would feel too small. It’s an easy size to manage logistically, and easy to keep it under 50 lbs, too.
Cons
Too large for carry-on travel
Because this is a checked suitcase size, it won’t work if you prefer to travel with only a carry-on bag.
Hard-shell luggage can show scuffs over time
Like most hard-shell suitcases, it may pick up small marks with frequent travel. This is common with checked luggage. A little elbow grease and Mr. Clean can get some of the scuffs off if you’re willing to take the time.
Packing cubes are helpful but not required
The cubes make organization easier, but travelers who prefer simple packing may not feel they need them.
Limited Colors offered This may be a limiting factor if you’re obsessed with certain colors. I do like the sophisticated 2-tone celadon color-way a lot, but if pink were an option, that would have been a no-brainer for me.
Trolley handle too wide for many personal item bags. I was surprised how unnecessary having a trolley strap was with the wide comfort handle, but I usually do use one with the traditional smaller trolley handle on luggage that is less sturdy. Having experienced multiple legs each way with this, it’s no longer a concern for me. Funny, because I’ve spent years collecting bags with trolley straps for travel days🙃
Final Thoughts on the Level8 Adventure 24″ Checked Suitcase
Overall, after testing it on a real trip, I think this is a great option if you’re looking for stylish, durable checked luggage that keeps packing organized.
The clean design, smooth wheels, and expandable space make it a practical choice for longer trips. Paired with the Go Pack cubes, it creates a very organized packing setup.
If you’re searching for one of the best checked luggage options for organized travel, this suitcase is definitely worth considering. I’ve decided to take this one on my trip to Curacao next month.
